Franz-Josef Kaufmann

Franz-Josef Kaufmann is Managing Director in Liquidity & Funding in Group Treasury.
Before taking over the current position he was Head of Capital Markets Funding until October 2022 and Head of Strategic Markets & Projects and Deputy Head of Capital Management & Funding since 2013.
From 2009 until 2013 Franz-Josef was already in charge of the Capital Markets Funding for Commerzbank.
In December 2004, he joined Eurohypo AG as Head of Capital Markets from Deutsche Bank, where he spent more than seven years in Group Treasury. Since 2000, he was globally responsible for Deutsche Bank’s Capital Market issuance as Head of Issuance Activities.

Before that, he was more than six years at Treasury of Eurohypo in Luxembourg, and over 4 years in Money Market and Foreign Exchange Trading at BfG Bank in Luxembourg.

He started his career in capital market already 1986 in Luxembourg.

He holds a degree in Economics (Betriebswirt (VWA)) and a banking degree (Bankbetriebswirt).
