Landesbank Berlin AG is an issuer of both mortgage and public sector covered bonds. The core of LBB AG is Berliner Sparkasse which was established in 1818 by the municipality of Berlin. In its customer business areas, LBB AG operates exclusively under the brand name "Berliner Sparkasse". As a public law institution with partial legal capacity and a branch of LBB AG, Berliner Sparkasse is a customer-oriented, innovative institution for retail clients, regional corporate banking and commercial real estate financing. It is the full service bank of the german capital and has a 35 percent share of the Berlin market.
